Manifestation of Exhaustion

How long does it take a 5 ft 2 midget to do the following task?

  1. Remove, wash, dry and putting back on a set of king size beddings (which consisted of flat sheet, spread, duvet cover, pillow casings x 4, two pillows and four cushions).
  2. Hoover.
  3. Did laundry and dishes.
  4. Making lunch.

Answer: 8 hours.

With an arm span of 1.5 metres, it took me half an hour to just put the duvet cover back on.
State of mind at the moment? With only three hours of sleep the previous night, exhaustion has manifested to the point that I almost ashed my fag into my coffee, not to say putting the duvet cover on inside out,....

Pursuing a Simple Life is Never Easy

Rather contradicting as it might seemed, but as long as human exists, my tedious quest for pursuing a simple life had once again been intervened by certain human factor.

Brought up in a country where the law is everything, adapting to the idea of law now playing against us isn't easy. We are sorta under the mercy of the management, many kind friends had advised us to seek help from solicitors. What they do not know is how things works in the company and how easy it is to cover up dirty acts. Contracts are no longer a legally binding exchange of agreement between parties that the law will enforce, its more like a tool the management uses to reserve as much benefits to themselves.

When confronted with facts based on clauses on agreement, HR bluntly push it to the fact that the employees had misinterpreted the definition despite its written in black and white and simple enough for any elementary schooler to understand. And since they deem that the contract isn't 'clear' enough, they just went on to 'solve' the complain by promptly saying that they are gotta amend the existing contract(s), bear in mind this scenario had happened more than just once. Oh and did I mentioned that they began pushing blames months ago after a certain confrontation when the initial contract was presented, a FEW pages of the contract were omitted during the meeting and therefore the employees weren't aware of them when they agreed on the terms? If they were omitted, how did they know that the employees would agree upon those terms? And isn't that considered against the law in some form? Yup buggers lying without a blink knowing that no one can touch them. And since when did the fight for your right which doesn't involve any indecent act earns you the title of a black sheep?

As many might know, I'm a lady of lesuire but I do share the tears and joy of my significant other. Such 'minor' incidents never fails to boil my blood and bring on a few swear words and I rarely curse.

Random Rant

Moo had finally finished pimping our lappies, the old retarded 15" now looks even more adorable than ever. Although old and retarded, at least it doesn't have Vista on it and thank god for that.
Thou lappy shall now be named after thou penguin, from now onwards, you shall be known as Tux.

Being newer, the 17" possess speed which Tux could not deliver. The only downside is it has bloody Vista which Acer doesn't seem to wanna provide any downgrading. It serves me only one purpose, to edit photos. It might seem like a waste of cash to use it just for that reason, but wait till you try to load photoshop on Tux, you would know my frustration. It takes forever just to even get the program loaded.

==============================================

Still not at the best of health at the moment, with both heat fans on, the temperature in the room had soared to 28.8 degree. At that temperature, I'm still experiencing goosebumps, and shorty after started perspiring. The strange just got stranger, every time I attempt to look down, my world starts spinning like I've just been on a teacup ride. Another two aspirins and slapping a pair of detox footpatch, off to bed soon with fingers crossed that I'd feel better tomorrow. Hopefully I'm not down with another ear infection, my previous encounter hasn't been a good one at all.

With both the fans on the same plug, it took up so much power that it blew the fuse on the multiplug. Kinda freaked me out when Moo showed me the wiring. Yup, as you can see some parts are completely cured and turned rigid. This is one thing we'd never dare try again.

Green Fingers

Been feeling slightly under the weather for the past few days, it feels as if I've just swallowed a cat and its slowly clawing up my throat.... not the best description I know. And my back, well it feels as though I'm giving Heffalump a piggyback ride.
Popped an aspirin an hour back, hopefully with some rest, the cat and elephant would decide to give me a break.

Almost forgetting about the green fingers bit, yup our fingers are turning green indeed. The seeds we sowed couple of days back has sprouted. It brings me joy that at least there's some sorta living things in the apartment (apart from me) when Moo's at work. Sunflowers, poppies, chilli, coriander and lavender. Poppies seemed to be the only one making me proud. Every now and then, I'd take a look at them and appreciate life as such a miracle.

All Nighter

Just like the good old times when I camped in front of the TV for two whole days to finish the Meteor Garden boxset, this time its Coffee Prince.
Call me a sucker for soap operas, but its my soft spot for happily-ever-after fairytales.

My eyelids are too heavy, my power bar is flashing red. I could no longer construct sentences. Been up for the past 31 hours,... Zzzzzz (snore,..... drooling on keyboard. KO).

Hibernation

After 15 hours of hibernation, refreshed is the only word I could use to describe my current stateof mind. Moo certainly was envious, jealous more like it.
Weather forecast predicted last night's temperature to fall between 7-12 degrees. With the cold floor tilings turning into booby traps, every step I take, the chill would just bite into my sole and creep up my spine. The warmth under the duvet provides my only source of refuge and comfort. So, my theory is, I'm not lazy (which Moo kept arguing that I am), I'm just stuck in my 'comfort zone', literally the zone that provides COMFORT!!!!

On a side note, Moo finally closed the deal to Bob (his Silvia). Heading down to the vehicle registration centre tomorrow to transfer the ownership and from then onwards he would officially be the new owner's problem. Don't get me wrong, he's a very beautiful piece of art, but a car without windscreen wiper, no honk, and creating new problems every few days, he's proved to be a real challenge to own and a dangerous one too.
