Bad Habit

Everyone has some sorta bad habit, what's yours?

Mine? Ask Pea and Cow, they would tell you that I've got a cup 'collecting' problem. I'm a soda and caffeine addict, starting off the day with a nice cuppa coffee, and that's the first cup entering the study. Few hours later, walked into the kitchen to grab another,... "Oh holy crap, left my cup upstairs",... lazy to walk up again, took another cup off the rack. That's another cup added onto the table. Slightly later went down again to walk Yumi, feeling the thirst as I reached home, ahhh some soda would be nice to beat the heat. When upstairs, and now there's three cups resting next to me..... *SIGH*

It's not surprising that I run outta cups very quickly. Instead of kicking the bad habit away, the problem's solved by creating more cups. Turned one of the flower pots from Ikea into a nice big coffee mug just by adding some floral stickers on it. It looked great, and holds more caffeine compared to my norm mugs, saves moi from running down to fetch for more.

Cow came home shaking his head commenting that I'm turning the study into some sorta internet cafe.... some habits are hard to kick indeed.

Paper Toys

my new found love.

Just can't get enough of it at the moment. For the past three days, I'm only managed to complete three toys. As I get busy with my new hobby, printed a set of paper toy for Cow as well.
When I rang him up at work telling him I found the template for Master Chief from Halo, he enthusiastically urged me to get it for him.

*Twilight with flashback to two days ago* We sat down at the dining table with scissors, penknives, gluestick and our paper toy templates. After cutting out a tiny yet complication piece from his set, he announced that he's calling it a day .... leaving me alone to complete my lil Rommy robot. Till now his set sits on the table, quietly counting down the days till its remembered again.

Agenda of the Day

Another stay in Saturday, waking up too late to head down town. Not wanting to waste the day off, we've decided to continue with our home improvement project. As Cow spend some alone time with his sex-box, I slaved along with the task of hoovering and mopping. The warm weather caused my arms to rash and naturally I became really grouchy.
After a quick shower its Cow's turn to take over while I put my legs up. He's installing netting at the bottom of our gate to stop Yumi's toys from fleeing outta the porch area and onto the road, as well as preventing rubbish swept in during windy days.

Cow then moved on to a bit of green fingers, potting the packs of seeds we bought weeks ago. Hopefully the dill, mint, parsley and other herbs would sprout soon.

Just as my shutters clicked on the last photo, I looked up to find the night sky lit up by colourful lights. Apparently there's a wedding banquet down the road and hence the fireworks. Guess I was at the right place at the right time. As I was busy snapping Cow let out a shriek, well my eyes hardly left the viewfinder to entertain him till the firework ended.
Turned around to see him hopping on one leg, the bangs from the firework startled our poor dog who fled and pee as she ran madly around the porch and living room (I was oblivious to all the commotion). Cow only realised when she ran passed him and 'sprinkled' some pee on his feet.
Sigh, more mopping for me. The canine escaped unpunished, instead she got treats not as a reward but more to calm her nerves.

C . O . D (Cow's Off Duty)

Cow's finally getting a well deserved time off from work, nine days to be exact. Consider it a blessing in disguised that his 'sex-box' is dead that he's able to concentrate on other more important tasks on hand, such as home improvement.

I'm not relaxing much either, trying to make this house more homely starting with the study.
Bought three sets of cheap photo frames from Ikea some varnish from the local hardware store, the wall now looks less empty. For some reason the photo frames in this country is way too expensive, cheaper to DIY.

And to make this place more environmentally friendly, and less impact on our electric bills, we've changed all the light bulbs to energy saving ones. Changed more than thirty bulbs, though Ikea's having sales on their in-house bulbs, the price for them came up to more than RM200. Now our porch lights lit up the street lol, yup its much brighter comparing to the old ones the landlady was using, not to mention more cost efficient as well.

One day down, eight more days left for the Cow. More errands awaits us tomorrow. Hopefully we'd get to tour around abit before he heads back to work.

Lightbox 1.5

My new home-made lightbox is finally completed, with the carton (courtesy of Lee), some tape, tracing paper, kitchen foil, a glue stick, paint, penknife and two days of labour. The next thing to do is to search for a cheap table lamp. This new box comes with a removable reflector panel made from kitchen foil lol.

Did a few test shots, had to touch up with photoshop.

Going Green

Green Fingers again, this time a shoe cabinet.... well sort of.
A useless air-conditioner box and some paint I "borrowed" from the painter, and there ... I've got a shoe cabinet. (well borrowed in a sense that they left it outside the house for more than a month, so I took the liberty to borrow it *grin*)
I know, it looks like something you find in the garbage bin, but at least the tree killed to make the box din't die for nothing right?
