Updates

The past two weeks had been a nightmare for both canine and humans, canine has to be confined from reaching for her toys and jumping around, not to mentioned she's banned from the porch area as well. Humans? Well we'd to put up from the grumpy spayed bitch, oh and her whines.

At long last, she's been given the approval (by moi) to have her torture device removed. She once again a free canine.

What ya about to see or hear in the clip below is just a small taste of what I've to face everyday. Yes, she's once again managed to score a ball in the hole under the couch. No, I dunno what she's managed to kicked in, coz this is the sixth time that night and I can't give a crap.

Games I play with Yumi

just to clip her nails....

Hide-n-Seek
Game rule(s): Canine tries to lie in a position where her paws would be hidden under her body so that her nails would be out of reach from the clippers.

MasterMind
Game rule(s): Owner tries to find the right button to stroke her to sleep.

Hungry Hippo
Game rule(s): Grab the first paw I can lay my hands on.

Staring Game (mostly seen in Korean soap operas)
Game rule(s): Stare at your opponent without blinking, the first one to closes the eyes loses. Pickle gets uneasy when you stare at her, she'd
either distract you with her licks or turn her head and pretend to nap (which is what I wanted). Pretending to sleep most of the time would lead to actual sleeping. Once the Z monster does its work, things would be so much easier, at least till she realised what I was up to.

Snake-n-Ladder
Game rule(s): Creeping up to her (the goal) slowly without getting her attention.

Once reaching the target, gently clipping how many nails I can before the light sleeper wakes up.

Pick-up-Stix (sort of)
Game rule(s): Owner has to figure out the right angle to approach the stix (in this case, the paw) without alarming the victim. Picking up the stix (paw) in the wrong angle would lead to noticable movement which would wake the canine.

Sigh, I hate trimming her nails. Whichever game we play, I'm always the loser.

Catching ups/ Settling/ Interrogation

Spent an hour on the phone with Salsa, it was nice to hear her voice again. Doing some catching up since I din't manage to meet up with her during my last trip home. Really looking forward to them (Salsa & Anodise) visiting in December. It's gotta be a busy month, GP's finally tying the knot and I'm heading back for his big day, Pea's visiting shortly after then Salsa and Ano.

==============================================

Back here in our new dwelling, things are settling down, despite the occasional shock of finding dead roaches in unexpected places. Just the other day, Cow woke up to find one lying in the living room, before he could clear the body,.... Yumi got to it one step earlier. By the time I arrived at the scene,... roach legs were everywhere, not to mentioned fang holes in its tummy,..... For the rest of the day, I'd forbidden the disgusting canine from licking me. Gross I tell ya,... GROSS!

Lazed in bed till mid-day, haven't felt rested for so many weeks, woke up with a nasty migraine. Yumi's wound on her paw's looking better after a few application of the med we got from the vet. Even with the wound, her spirit hasn't been dampened, she's still as bubbly as usual as though nothing has ever happened.

While on the phone with Salsa, she asked if Yuki's with us. Sigh, wonder if she's still roaming and waiting at the other house. Hope she's doing well.
===============================================

Yesterday while having a fag at the porch, Yumi's first lil friend appeared. Think his name is Bryan, Brandon or something like that, age around 10. He spent half an hour at the gate playing with her. And after we became acquainted, he insisted coming in to play with my lil pickle..... With his one leg climbing over our wall, I gave him a stern warning that she's not good with kids even though she loves them and the attention they shower on her.
Then came a list of questions from this curious lil boy:

Boy: Do you have kids?
Moi: No.
Boy: Why not?
Moi: Coz I don't like kids.
(Boy backed off a lil, sensing that my reply might have scared him)
Moi: No dear, not that I don't like kids, just don't like to have kids of my own. (Cold sweat)

Boy: Why don't you like kids of your own?
Moi: Coz I find them troublesome (SHIT!!!! I'm thinking aloud again *slapping myself*)
Moi: No no, what I meant was that I don't have time for them.
(Ya Right you liar!!!! You have all the time in the world!)

The interrogation stopped after the boy's sister appeared, thank god!!!

Oh and for those of you who asked for pix of the new house, sorry that has to wait, was too busy with errands for the past few days, will try to take some in the next couple of days. Meanwhile, here's a look at the study which is joint to the bedroom.

Evacuation

After five trips back and forth, we've finally moved all our possession over to the new place.
Spent nine hours yesterday unpacking, its finally began to sink in that this will be our new place (hopefully for the coming year ahead).
Exhausted from the chores, Cow was upset claiming I should have taken a nap in between. I wished I could, but seeing the mess in the living room was just simply too much of an eye sore. Well at least I can ease off abit today and do a bit of R & R.
Oblivious of the effort I was putting in, our lil pickle's adapting quite well to the new place, apart from all the neighbourhood dogs barking at her during walks (it freaks her out that they appeared somehow unfriendly compared to Yuki and her sister who patrolled our old place). Other than that, she's pretty curious, more kids and INSECTS in the neighbourhood for her to "admire". With the porch's all tiled, she allowed to laze in the sun without me worrying about the holes she might dig or the dirt she might attract.
*Caffeine**More caffeine*
It's pouring cats and dogs as I write, the sound of rain splattering on the roof is just so soothing that I might just join the pooch for an afternoon nap. Just have to wait for the caffeine to wear off.

Moving On

Sound to me that the landlord is really trying hard to sell off the property, count her lucky that we're still renting till the end of the month and I'm here to let the electrician in. She's managed to get the developers to send a man down to fix the security alarms for the house, hoping that it would be a pull factor for potential buyers.

Let say if I'm to buy any property in this estate, hers might be the last I'd consider. Firstly its sorta fully furnished (but not up to my standard though), meaning extra cost, and I can't furnish the house to my desire. Secondly, upon entering, anyone observant enough would notice the patch on the ceiling, bad sewage. Thirdly, the three fans in the guest rooms have yet to installed, wires dangling here and there. The sliding door leading to the living room doesn't lock lol. Plus there's like several other corner houses for sale, being in the middle its pretty tight. Oh ya and the tiles in the kitchen's cracked straight down from the ceiling to the floor (not us that did it, the house was completed in a hurry hence the poor job I suppose). The bathroom floods when washing face... and the list of problems to the house continues on.

Unless she sells it at a break even or lower price, if not this house might have to sit around for a year before anyone is to move in.

Since we've signed the tenancy agreement for the new place last night, will be calling them tonight to inform them that we'd be moving out at the end of the month. They gave us very little notice before they put up the "homemade" sign to put the house on for sale, three days would be more than sufficient to notify them before we move out. Just a short two months stay in this place has created more than enough problems and friction, its best to put a stop to these nonsenses before things turn sour. At the end of the day its better to have one more friend than foe.
==========================================================================

Its been more than an hour, and the electrician is still on the job. Thanks to him, Yuki and Yumi gets to nap together for the afternoon, with additional comfort of the air-conditioning. Even a nine degree earthquake might not be able to wake them up. With both of them indoors, I can't imagine the amount of fur I'll collect from sweeping afterwards, *Yawn* I need a nap too.

A Two-Day Decision

Arranged to meet up with the housing agent last night, got hold of the tenancy agreement and made our first month's deposit as a display of promise for the lease.

Overall we are pretty satisfied with the new place, much bigger space, more rooms and a study. The auto-gate brought the grin on my face, no more standing in the rain waiting for the Cow. Very soon I might just be able to go online as and when I wish (I hope), and maybe I might be able to finally watch TV as well,... ahhhh the plain luxury which I've almost forgot,... Not all pleasant, the pouch doesn't come with a garden,.... all concrete, which means I have to physically leash Yumi and bring her out for walks at say,..... SIX in the morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Z-monster protests*

Moving in on the first of next month, and with the Cow's written exam coming up on the 30th, all packing is left to moi. Right, with a six month old puppy, household chores and packing all that I can pretty much cope. Now here's where the BUT comes in. Recently that's this black stray with very nice temperament visiting the estate. Well you can pretty much see what's coming don't you?

As the new residence isn't compounded like the current one, with me alone at home most of the time, and Yumi being an indoor canine, the porch is pretty much left unattended. With that in mind, it came across to us that "employing" a second security hound might be a good idea. After two days of decision making (I know its a lil haste), our new outdoor security guard is now sleeping in our pouch. Here's her resume after the first round of interview.

Name: Well, yet to be named actually, since we've just kidnapped her last night.
Appearance: Black, brown eyes.
Age: Our guess is roughly a year old judging from her teeth
Temperament: HAAAA better than Yumi's. She walked pretty well on leash, very patient with the lil rascal, non-food aggressive, just a lil iffy with showers.
Height: A tint taller than Yumi
Health: Wounds much more severe than Yumi's when she first came. Ticks, fleas. FILTHY. Not certain in regards to worms yet, had to pay a visit to the vets. Healthy gums.

A quick shower washed off most of the dirt and sand on her, and just like Yumi when she first arrived, Blackie (her temp name since she's black) has skin problem, abrasion wounds and of course TICKS since she's a stray. Blackie's gotta take alot longer than Yumi to recover as she's spent a year being a stray while the baby only spent four months out in the vast jungle of sand, dirt, fleas and ticks. I've managed to nurse Yumi back to a nice coat within one and a half month, don't see why I can't with Blackie. Proper diet, regular showers should do the job, oh and not forgetting a trip to the vets.

The following few weeks gotta be a test to my ability to get outta bed in the morning, having to walk two canines won't be easy. Blackie's fine,.... Yumi's the spoilt one.
And now having two canines to make comparison with,.... I'm afraid I might have to start taking sides. Cow's pretty much attracted to Blackie, giving praising of her great temperament,.... almost forgetting the praises he used to make on Yumi on how cute and adorable she is, so therefore I'm on Yumi's side to be fair.

I'm with Yumi for obvious reasons, she came to us first and I prefer a dog like her than Blackie.
Blackie's too nice and sweet, not challenging enough for me I suppose. I prefer a dog that's slightly more fun, more active, and more human like, one that makes me think. Yumi whines and bitch, but personality wise, she's a big baby and I like that. Well who ever cries the loudest in this case gets more attention from me.
Blackie being older is more calm and independent. Yah she cries when I bring Yumi out for walks, not that she's jealous, but more to the fact she's insecure in her new environment, fearing that we are ditching her. I'm sure she'd get used to it eventually. As I "speak", she's contented just snoozing in the front yard and ironically, Yumi's all spread out on the couch enjoying the coolness of the air-conditioning.... Apart from personality differences, the two gals had different agendas as well. Blackie yearns to be an indoor pet, slipping into the house whenever she gets the chance to. Yumi on the other hand had her ultimate goal to be kept outdoor. Whenever the front door opens, the change of guards occurs, one goes out while the other slips in.

I'm not too sure how Cow is taking our new resident, but used to being a strictly one-dog owner, to me Blackie is plainly a case of fostering. The priority right now is dealing with her sever skin condition which will keeps all potential new owners at bay.

(Photos of Blackie does not reflect the degree of her skin condition but what she is within)

Teething (Part 2)

Yumi's teething woe continued.
Just the other day I've picked up her half chewed slimy rawhide to find the corner dyed red,.... Plied her jaw and discovered that one of her fangs was abit shaky and inflamed, she gave a lil shriek when I tried to touch it. That explained why the food driven canine isn't really touching her meals (we've recently changed her dog food, and I thought it was the taste that put her off it).

Right, from now on her kibbles will be soaked in milk, and to play safe I've used condensed milk in case she's lactose intolerant. Sigh, ya that brought her back to her food bowl, but being the one who had to pick up her business, it became a lil messy. Her stool was softer than before....

Well that's the price tag I've gotta pay to get her eating again.

Dawn

*Yawn* Monday,.... now that Cow's back onto strictly morning shift, my day starts the moment he leaves for work.

Time check, 6.54 am, and I'm on my routine walk with Yumi. *Yawn*
================================================================

(After caffine boost)
Finally got round to sewing the zip for the dog bed. With me slaving away, the ungrateful bitch is sleeping right next to me showing off her undercarriage.
Right .... bitch,..... you will pay for this.

================================================================
(Smirk)
The four-legged is filled with hatred,.... why? I've just given her a shower.

Useless F00s

. . . Migraine . . .
Just the day before I've given my final 'warning' for the fans to be installed in the two guest rooms as well as the study in preparation for Pea's visit. Her brother turned up last night with two other friends, without prior notice, with their dinner, and just entered and make themselves comfortable then proceed to have their food,... leaving me puzzled as to the purpose of their visit. It's only upon questioning that he informed me they were here to install the fan.

For that moment I thought that things ain't going so bad after all, no,.... that thought popped too soon.
In fact they came so "un-prepared" that they conveniently forgot to buy the switches required for the fans,... ok they went out to get it and were back in half an hour. After making a mess,... and removing the ceiling light,... his friend claimed that he doesn't have the tool to complete the f**king job and they happily went off saying they would be back tomorrow.

Woke up today at three,.... landlady's brother called and said they are coming over,... I cut the conversation short and told him not to as we are heading out. Wahoooo the next minute landlady called and well well told me exactly what her brother dearest said a minute ago as if my memory is really that bad,.... and which part of F**KING NO doesn't he understand? And it appeared that she's not willing to take no as an answer either,... well he has the whole morning to come and complete the job,... I'm not as free as he is or does he think that he's so F**KING important or I've got all my time at his disposal?

Best of all, after two calls from the landlady,.... her dear brother called again, here's the conversation, for the re-enactment of the conversation he shall be known as LM (Loud-Mouth):

LM: Are you gotta be back by five?
Me: Can't be sure.
LM: Are you gotta be back by five?
Me: (*Tearing hair*) DUNNO.
LM: Coz my friend is alright to install the fan today.
Me: We are heading out.
LM: I've got one of your keys (*this comment left me feeling pretty uneasy*), you can go out while we continue installing then I'll lock up when we are done.
Me: No, I'm heading out like NOW!!!!! (at this point I was desperately jumping around putting my clothes on),

No the commotion din't end here, sigh, landlady called up again and I've totally lost my cool. I've to tell her word by word that they were at fault to begin with for coming over unprepared, don't expect me to waste my day off just because they were F**KING useless (k I din't really use any vulgarities on her). Finally with god's grace she took my words in and stopped calling me.... only after repeating the information to her twice or maybe three times.

After today I'm even more determined to move out,...

Moo Moment (3) ** PG

(The) Cow has been pretty obsessed with my octopus massager lately.

If only he's using it for what its meant for.... but instead he's pushed it too hard trying to be kinky,.... which turned out to be annoying.
Every now and then, he'd place it in my hand, rub it around and using his newly adopted line, "uuhhhhhhhh, touch my *tako BALL!!!!"

I bought it only coz it looks adorable, but now its more of an object of disgust than cuteness.... sigh.

34 Degrees

With temperature soaring to 34 degree Celsius, its taking a toll not only on the humans but to our recouping canine too.
Prepared a nice meal for my furry son to add a lil comfort to the torture of the Elizabeth collar which he has to put up with. He seemed to be recovering fine, as demonstrated by the return of his appetite. Heading back to the vet on Friday to get his stitches removed, but unfortunately the E-collar will be staying on his furry neck for another week or so.
Was supposed to meet up with Maine and Lavelle today, couldn't make it due to some last minute changes. Sigh, if only I've got a pool to jump into to relief from the heat.... It's good that the Cow isn't here with me,.... one less grumpy old man to deal with (he's now enjoying the cool 'summer' back home).

Wii Boxing

You CB*. CCB**, CCB, CCB, get up you CB. That's all I can hear for the whole of tonight. See the expression on the cow? His face is turning lobster red. DS made me swear, while Wii inserted evilness into the cow. After one night, we accumulated more than 700 points each on Wii boxing. 1000 points on bowling earned me a star bowling ball, I wonder what I'd get for boxing? A pair of spiky boxing gloves that'd disfigure my opponent with just a punch?

* An acronym to a very vulgar term used to describe someone's fanny.
Not a very nice word to use.

** Power up to the acronym as mentioned before,... that's all I can say.

They won't be sleeping much anyway

In three month's time, Miguel and Zara would be expecting the arrival of their lil princess. Dragged Moo down to the mall and picked up a present for them, yes, Dragged with a capital D. Moo doesn't have the habit of getting presents for peeps. Pink with a Winnie the Pooh theme, hope the grumpy monkey (not quite grumpy nowadays, guess Zara knows his buttons lol) and our first time mum would like it.
It was a real challenge wrapping the present, ran out of sticky tapes, had to improvise by using a glue stick and some needle and thread.

One Evil Cow

Yes, he's truly one evil cow. I've cleared the dishes, cut his hair, made his meals, and this is how he repays me?
After his personal barber shaved off his lovely locks, she began sweeping the floor since other than sand phobia, he's got hair phobia as well...

As illustrated in the diagram on the right, as I was sweeping the pile of hair left on the floor, the cow proceed to washing his head in the tub.
Just as I squat down with the broom and dustpan, the cow then decided to prepay my kindness by dropping a gas bomb,.... RIGHT IN MY FACE!!!!!! Dammit!!!!! As if that wasn't enough, he even knocked over the bin with a handful of hair in it.

The villain ought to be punished, and what better way to do that than to leave him to do what he fear most. Yes, he's clearing the mess on his own, no mercy on my end!

Sandy Day

Howling wind, debris flying pass our window, it seemed like a scene taken straight outta Wizard of Oz when Dorothy's home was swept up by the tornado. Fortunately for us, its just another sandstorm, well not exactly a storm to speak.
The bad weather stayed through the night, and as you can see, visibility was pretty poor the next day. With my teeth grinding few grains of sand, and Moo fighting his sand phobia (sand has cunningly sneaked into his socks) we finally made it into the car, braving the haze and took off to the stores.

On the way home, we started having a debate as we stared at the foreign object in the sky. Is it the moon or the sun? We could no longer tell. I voted for the moon, while Moo on the other hand made his firm stand that it's the sun.

By the time we reached our apartment, it was gone, so I guessed Moo was right after all.

On the other note, my lil babies are flourishing. Coriander, poppies, marigold and another unknown seedling (lost track of which seeds we sowed in the last box). Sadly the chilli, sunflower and lavender are not showing any progress at all.
The earth has received the embrace of the sun, and we shall see the results of that love.

Random Rant

Moo had finally finished pimping our lappies, the old retarded 15" now looks even more adorable than ever. Although old and retarded, at least it doesn't have Vista on it and thank god for that.
Thou lappy shall now be named after thou penguin, from now onwards, you shall be known as Tux.

Being newer, the 17" possess speed which Tux could not deliver. The only downside is it has bloody Vista which Acer doesn't seem to wanna provide any downgrading. It serves me only one purpose, to edit photos. It might seem like a waste of cash to use it just for that reason, but wait till you try to load photoshop on Tux, you would know my frustration. It takes forever just to even get the program loaded.

==============================================

Still not at the best of health at the moment, with both heat fans on, the temperature in the room had soared to 28.8 degree. At that temperature, I'm still experiencing goosebumps, and shorty after started perspiring. The strange just got stranger, every time I attempt to look down, my world starts spinning like I've just been on a teacup ride. Another two aspirins and slapping a pair of detox footpatch, off to bed soon with fingers crossed that I'd feel better tomorrow. Hopefully I'm not down with another ear infection, my previous encounter hasn't been a good one at all.

With both the fans on the same plug, it took up so much power that it blew the fuse on the multiplug. Kinda freaked me out when Moo showed me the wiring. Yup, as you can see some parts are completely cured and turned rigid. This is one thing we'd never dare try again.
