Maybe the cow and I should get her the Throne of Fire for Christmas *evil grin*.

How often did such thoughts pop up?
"Oh the packaging looks good... maybe I should give it a try."
"Oh, the cover of that comic looks interesting, it might be worth a read."
"Oh, that box of candy looks so colourful, wonder if it tastes any good?"
I used to collect note pads, not that I've that much homework and notes, but purely coz the cover looks good. Saving all my spending money on cute looking stationery became a habit which resulted in a drawer full of pens, pencils and erasers.
When I was ten, I lost my pencil case on the way home and after calculating, my stationery in there was worth thirty bucks .... and each day I get fifty cents allowance coz my mum packed lunch for me... but the joy of starting a new collection soon put my young mind off the loss.
A lil older, when my bedtime curfew passed 12, I found myself sitting alone in the living room after midnight (my biological clock was ruined ever since I was a kid and I tried to stretch my curfew every now and then) watching the only programs on air, which was either a rerun of "Days of our Lives" or home shopping. Totally mesmerized by the latter, it made me think, wow that set of pots looks amazing and ohhhhh that blender looks good. Never had I realized that the power of marketing was actually brainwashing me all those times.
Even till today, I still lose control once in a while. Just the other day while out at the supermarket, I've convinced the cow to get this pack of kippers (and I don't even like fish!!). Reason for buying? Coz the colour scheme of the packaging looks nice. Sob.
Its funny how simple things like colours and fonts plays around with a shopper's mind. Thank God I'm not residing in Japan, if not we'd be paupers for sure.

I've got mail *toy excluded*
My cousin sent a photo she took over the Lunar New Year, it brings warmth even being thousand miles away from home. It eased my home sickness a lil. A sudden urge, picked up the phone and dialled the number that had been so familiar. It's nice to hear my mum's voice again. Distance does make the heart grow fonder. In the past, living under the same roof created much friction and there was never a week that had passed without an argument between us. Ever since I left home, I've grown to miss my family and crave to be around them whenever I've got the chance. In the midst of our conversation, she popped the question, 'So, will you be back in June?' Sigh, I dunno, I wished I had the answer to that. I'm back to the big question mark, what's gotta happen in the next couple of months is beyond our grasp for the time being. We'd just have to go one step at a time.

Is It Safe?
How safe is that piece of tuna on the shelf?
I start to wonder if there's even any quality control, or like some of my ex-students who's ignorant enough to believe that chicken doesn't come with feathers (coz chicken they see in the supermarket doesn't) they believe that tuna's black?
Anyone who purchases the items must be seriously color blind.

I wonder if anyone's suffered food poisoning yet.

How Romantic
Photos obtained from Steampunk.
How romantic is this? Modding a computer as a present for your future wife-to-be on your wedding day? It looks so Victorian. unique and deffo one of a kind. With it sitting on the reception, wonder if the guests would take it as a piece of the dressing table?
