納悶

今年的跨年好平凡,好無聊。
2008 就這樣過了嗎?
没有倒数,也没派对。
零八就這樣溜走了吗?

情趣都到哪去了?
我開始討厭 xbox 。

Agenda of the Day

Another stay in Saturday, waking up too late to head down town. Not wanting to waste the day off, we've decided to continue with our home improvement project. As Cow spend some alone time with his sex-box, I slaved along with the task of hoovering and mopping. The warm weather caused my arms to rash and naturally I became really grouchy.
After a quick shower its Cow's turn to take over while I put my legs up. He's installing netting at the bottom of our gate to stop Yumi's toys from fleeing outta the porch area and onto the road, as well as preventing rubbish swept in during windy days.

Cow then moved on to a bit of green fingers, potting the packs of seeds we bought weeks ago. Hopefully the dill, mint, parsley and other herbs would sprout soon.

Just as my shutters clicked on the last photo, I looked up to find the night sky lit up by colourful lights. Apparently there's a wedding banquet down the road and hence the fireworks. Guess I was at the right place at the right time. As I was busy snapping Cow let out a shriek, well my eyes hardly left the viewfinder to entertain him till the firework ended.
Turned around to see him hopping on one leg, the bangs from the firework startled our poor dog who fled and pee as she ran madly around the porch and living room (I was oblivious to all the commotion). Cow only realised when she ran passed him and 'sprinkled' some pee on his feet.
Sigh, more mopping for me. The canine escaped unpunished, instead she got treats not as a reward but more to calm her nerves.

Foe to Friends

Still remember when Pea first entered my world, before that I was the only child. I found her an eye sore, she's getting all the attention and affection. Anything that went wrong, I'd got all the blame and she escaped scot free.

Those times she drew on my homework and made me cry, broke my piggy bank and never got punished. Yes, she's a pain.

Look at us now, we've become friends again, we've indeed came a long way from being enemies from the start. Love her to bits, endless hours chatting crap. She's now my beauty product guinea pig, not to mention we share our collection of bags and shoes, well more like she uses my bags and I borrow her slippers.

She's back in Singapore from her six days visit here, it has been fun. Saw the present she left in the study, cute. Hope she visits again soon before she land herself in some job. I'm so gotta miss her.

GP & Mag

天晴

要不是因为感冒, 也没发现天气晴。
抬起头来疏解鼻塞,不然发现今天的天特别的蓝,
云看起来就像一团软绵绵的棉花。
这景色好美,好舒服。

Down with a nasty cold, the germs were a hand me down from Cow.
Being the medium, I've then passed it to Pea.

Now that Cow has recovered he can take care of moi, running around fetching aspirins and drinks.
Side note, Pea's leaving tomorrow, hope she can find the time to visit again. Yumi had a great time bullying her, and her company has been most appreciated. Sigh, more goodbyes.

Inhumane

Pea's here and she hasn't been around much this trip, dragged ourselves down to The Curve for the afternoon.

Since we're there, dropped by Pet Safari in Ikano Power House. The visit left us horrified and it was one of the rare occasions that I left the store empty handed.
Shortly existing the exotic pets section, we chanced by tanks of supposedly 'cute' hamsters and chinchillas. Upon closer observation, a lot of them were disfigured. Loads of them had eye infection and some so bad that part of their face has rot.
Each of the tanks contained easily 30 hammies (could even be more) and there's one drinking bowl in each individual closure. There were dead hamster in one of the bowl, and a dead foetus in the other two, the discovery left us speechless.

At this point one loud mouth dark-skin gal hopped passed screaming ,'The hamsters are sooooooooo cute, so cute. The hamsters are soooooo cute!' I turned round and replied,'Gal, have you not opened your eyes and look? The poor hamsters are drinking from a bowl with their dead siblings in it. Have you not looked? The hamsters' face were rotting?' No, she's too pre-occupied to even hear me.

There were signs in the store saying photo-taking is prohibited, is that their way to stop letting people know how badly the animals are treated? Just because the hamsters are one of the cheapest 'merchandise' they've displayed doesn't give them the excuse to abuse nor neglect them.

Unwinding

It has been a rewarding week, so much has happened that I hardly had time to absorbed all the going ons. When I finally found the time to sit down and reflect on the past six days, its a little over-whelming actually.

But now that I'm home, I can finally wind down a little. Back to my usual morning routine, nothing beats a good cuppa and some 'myself' time.

Farewell

Flying in 40 mins, and I'm starting to miss home already.

Minutes

Time sure flew quick, its coming to the end of my visit home, wished I had slightly more time to visit my friends. The week was just packed with errands and activities.

Day 1: Arrived home late due to flight delay, as usual catching up with Pea ended at 5am. Really tired the next day.

Day 2: Busy shopping for outfit for GP and Mag's wedding. Managed to find a descent dress from Mphosis and a pair of heels from Charles & Keith. Paid a visit to the nail parlor, fell madly in love with OPI's F15, can't seem to find the colour anywhere in the shops. After googling, found that they have a branch in Sunway Pyramid, would deffo head down when I'm back.

Day 3: Woke up at 7.30 am, left home, found out that I've forgotten to bring Lee's flashgun. Went back home to fetch it, later realised I've forgotten about my backup 4GB compact flash card, went home again. Reached his flat, (sigh) forgot my spare batt. After all the hassle, only reached his place at 8.30am despite he stays one block from mine. I blame my absent-mindedness to the lack of sleep, only managed to rest for 2 hours the night before.
Half way through their tea ceremony, I announced my departure, I seemed to be getting in everyone's way. Went straight to the salon for a trim. Nap for a bit and off to their wedding dinner at King Copthorne. The night ended with another round of drinks at the Piano Bar with Rohde, Angel and Zenn. Rohde was nice, footing the bill for the 3 ladies and chauffeuring us back.

Dar 4: Went Sim Lim to pick up 8 xbox games and a new console for cow.

Day 5: Picked up wallet from Coach, dropped by Takashimaya squeezing along with the rest of the shoppers, shopping and more shopping.

Day 6: Woke up late at 3pm, reached the salon at 5pm. I'm the last person to leave the salon at 9pm, hates rebonding.

As for my plans for tomorrow, more shopping awaits. Sigh. There's hardly any time for me to breathe, let alone meet up with my pals. Feeling rather guilty as well that I'm not spending enough time with Bubble. Spend a good 45 mins walking him this evening to make myself feel better. Will be treating him to some long deserved snacks and greenies tomorrow.

Reading the above post, I just realized that I sounds more like I'm writing the minutes for a very boring meeting. If only there was more time, if only.

No Time to Chill

Flying home in a couple of hours, so not looking forward to the hassle of rushing to the airport and all. Since its just a short six days visit, my luggage is next to empty. But coming back might be a problem, since the shopping list is a page long.
Don't think I'd be able to blog for the next week or so, would be too busy running errands.
Sigh, I'm starting to dislike airports, the hassle, mad rush, all the preparations, I'm starting to dislike flying too. *sob*
Just wanna put up my feet and relax, but that's no time to chill.
Off to do laundry before the cow comes back, then we'd be zooming to the airport.
