Finally the time has come to bid farewell to a place I've called home for the past 30 months.
Farewell to newly found friends, Hunter, Elena, Tony, Onur. All very nice peeps and felines. Yes nice peeps, in fact I was asked why I'm starting to adore Elena, simply because I admire her wit, humour and genuineness. She's nice.
The chaos of packing and logistics had somehow kept our mind busy, but once that was over and done with, the slight sadness and unwillingness to leave sunk in.
Yes the 5.30 am flight and transit did take a tow on me as well.
Sitting next to me on my final transit was this very nice and friendly German chap (well I assumed he's German since he departed from Frankfurt and his ascent as well). Being as unsociable as always, I've avoided all small talks and eye contact. I'm drained and moody,... but throughout the seven hours flight, it was inevitable that we finally became 'acquaintance'. Just exchanged experiences from different countries and comments on how bad the inflight meals were before once again bidding farewell.
So many goodbyes in one day.
