Was woken twice from two weird dreams, one of which I was attacked by a beetle, flying straight towards my face. That's common for me, I'm from Venus, and naturally squeamish when bugs are involved. That's why Caterpea is still safely in his lil tub.
Its the second dream which had a deeper impact, its bewilded me to even think I'd do such a thing.
Slightly longwinded but here goes .....
It was our fourth year into our marriage when I found this email reply from one of his ex's sister. Nothing outta the ordinary, just a reply commenting on a cute pictures which alotta peeps like to forward around. In this case, she mentioned that it saddened her as the pictures reminded her of her dog which passed away not long ago.
In my dreams, I was disturbed to find that he'd share something with someone else. Can't remember most of the details, but the thought of getting a divorce crossed my mind.
When I woke up, I was shocked that the thought of it even dawned upon me. I've always viewed marriage so sacredly. Which leads on to the next discussions.
I've seen a fair share of divorces and failed marriages around me, friends who wedded and only to separate in less than a year, an aunt who spent her whole live taking care of her family to one day find out about the mistress and step-daughter, couples giving the excuses that they know each other too well, others whom gone astray.
After all these, I can't tell you how grateful I am towards my folks, being together till the present day, when we are constantly surrounded by people who lost faith in marriages. My folks are the pillar to my beliefs, their perseverance through the bad times, the scarifies they made for each other and knowing that the lil things does matter. They have taught me a great deal of values along the way, though I was too rebellious at that point of time to realise it. But as wine matures through time, so did I, and I'm thankful.
Communication, appreciation, trust, understanding, all sound so textbook, but they are the things I was taught, which I saw absent in many relationships turned sour.
To some it may be rather awkward to say that three words, but they can always simply give their other half a hug, a peck on the cheek, or just doing something nice for them.
If you are that bored and still reading this entry till now lol, do give your partner a hug tonight :)
PS: And Moo, you'd still be my slave till your last breath, Muahahahhaaa.
